After finishing my master's in Economic and Consumer Psychology at Leiden University, I decided to focus on my career as a visual artist. Since, I've been upgrading my portfolio, worked on an art project, had an exposition at the Kunstroute in Leiden, and did some commercial work (designing and drawing book covers and posters).|
In my works I focus on the details that make up our visual world. I explore the plasticity of reality by combining technical preciseness with depicting distorted, uncommon or impossible images. My work nearly always features people, yet I like to strip my characters from all cultural aspects, down to the core. In my drawings I place my characters on the fine line between reality and fantasy, between dream and ratio. I am depicting the human struggle with the unexplainable, how people can get lost in a world that cannot be explained rationally.
